Supervision for LPC Associates in Texas
Providing quality online supervision for LPC Associates who want to start a private practice in Texas
Online Supervision in Texas
No matter where you are in the state of Texas, you deserve to have a supervisor who wants you to succeed in private practice. The truth is grad school didn’t teach you how to run a business, how to market, or even how to become a great therapist.
That’s why I became a supervisor- to fill in the gaps. I believe LPC Associates deserve to have thriving private practices. You deserve to skip “the grind” and to not be exploited and overworked for little pay. You can be successful and not burn out as an associate.
“I’m here to teach you all the things about private practice they didn’t teach you in grad school.”
Mark Cagle LPC-S
Mark Cagle, LPC Supervisor
I am a therapist in Dallas and have a thriving private practice in which I work with couples who are struggling with infidelity or who find themselves at the crossroads of divorce.
Private practice is challenging but also very rewarding. I’ve made more than my fair share of mistakes along the way, and I hope to help you avoid some of the pitfalls of starting a private practice.
I’d Love to Help
I Can Help You With…
Setting Up A Business
From establishing a PLLC to setting up a business checking account to obtaining liability insurance, I’ve got you covered. I’ll take you through all the ins and outs of starting your own business. You don’t know what you don’t know, so it’s important to have someone lead the way.
Online Marketing
I believe online marketing is the cornerstone of most successful private practices. It is absolutely true for mine. Most of my clients find me through Google. Whether it’s through social media, SEO, or paid advertising, I can help you reach the people who need you (and are willing to pay you for your expertise).
Website Design
In addition to my own private practice, I also run a web design agency for therapists. Whether you want me to create a website for you or help you create one for yourself, I can help you cut through all the BS and get a great website that speaks to your ideal clients. Online marketing alone won’t work without a great website to connect and motivate potential clients to contact you. I can show you how.
In-Person Networking
Things are a bit different right now due to COVID, but reaching out to potential referral sources and “getting your name out there” can make a big difference in the success of your practice. Is it crucial? No. Can it be helpful? Absolutely.
Identifying Your Niche
Depending on how you pronounce niche the following may or may not rhyme, nevertheless, it is true: There are riches in the niches. Identifying, connecting with, and getting in front of your ideal clients is crucial to a successful private pay private practice, especially as an associate.
Yes, you may want to work with a variety of clients through your supervision. However, if you try to speak to everyone, no one will hear you. You can have a few specializations or target markets; speaking effectively to them starts with one.

My Approach & Philosophy
While there are minimum standards that every supervisor must cover- logging hours, reviewing laws and ethics, monitoring associate development, etc.- I believe the supervisory relationship can, and should be, so much more.
I believe there are many roles a successful supervisor must fill. These include teacher, coach, and consultant, to name a few. A quality LPC Supervisor is able to transition seamlessly between these roles and apply them at the appropriate time.
While there will be times that I provide direct instruction and guidance, there are many more times that I join with my supervisees to help them along the path toward an answer that works for them. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, and I believe the same can be said of supervision.
I am in this process to learn alongside you.
I also believe that supervision is a journey of self-discovery, and I look forward to walking with you as you discover more about yourself and what it means to be a successful therapist.
